Kwasniewski Enjoying Record
Breaking Winning Season
You might think that Dylan
Kwasniewski is an average 16-year
old high school student living in
Las Vegas, Nevada, but what sets him
apart from other young men his age
is that in a week's time he broke
three series records, and took the
checkered flag in back to back races driving
the #03 Rockstar Energy/Royal Purple
Ford on
the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West
circuit.
At the Toyota/NAPA Auto Parts
150 at the Colorado Speedway on Aug.
6, Kwasniewski became the youngest
to win the pole position, a record
previously held by Spencer Clark. At
the end of the race, he was the
youngest winner in the 57-year
history of the K&N West Series, a
record previously held by Joey
Logano in 2007.
The next weekend the series
moved to Montana Raceway Park for
the Toyota/TCC 150. Kwasniewski was
once again in Victory Lane as he
crossed the finish line with a
winning margin of 4.301 seconds.
Labor Day weekend, Kwasniewski won
the pole position when the series
moved to the Spokane County Raceway,
where he finished in second place.
The K&N West series will head to the
All American Speedway in Roseville,
CA mid-October, and conclude the
2011 season at the Phoenix
International Raceway on Nov. 12.
